Brrr! Winter has arrived and we are all breaking out our winter gear! Did you know that your plants need a winter coat too?

Burlap helps keep moisture in, while keeping the winter elements out. This provides your plants protection against frost damage.

Rhododendrons & boxwoods need to be covered for the winter season to thrive when spring time arrives. Additionally, arborvitaes that are less than two years of age need to be protected during the harsh winter months.

Potted plants may need several layers of burlap to protect the roots from harsh Michigan winter temperatures.

Did you know that your sprinkler system needs to be properly turned off for the winter season? This is known as "sprinkler winterization".

During your sprinkler winterization appointment, the sitting water in your sprinkler system and lines will be blown out with the use of an air compressor.

Sprinkler winterization is important for the health and longevity of your sprinkler system, it prevents the sitting water from freezing and expanding, which causes costly damage to the lines and system.

We are committed to helping our customers get the most out of their investments, call us today to schedule your pre-winter service appointments! (586) 445-8900
