Serene scenes in the workplace increases productivity

We spend one third of our lives at work. Research indicates adding an outdoor area where employees can “destress” and regroup, increases productivity. Having access to an area like this is a great change from the typical indoor break/lunchroom. The Harvard Business Review found that happy employees were 3x as creative, 31% more productive, and had 37% higher sales.


The trend is now shifting to provide a better atmosphere for employees via patio areas with seating, surrounded by greenery. A quiet and peaceful place to either take a moment alone with nature, or even allow small meetings to be held outside away from the daily grind.


Amenities such as a natural gas fireplace can extend the time we spend outside in the cooler months. Customized water features further enhance the area with the soothing sound of water. Wi-fi access and anti-glare screens allow us to continue our work while surrounded my nature.


Science indicates that spending time outdoors each day provide us with more energy, enhances our mood, and improves our well-being. It’s good for our health, and ultimately good for business.
